Otoscopy is used to examine a dog’s ear canal and eardrum. This procedure diagnoses ear infections, mites, foreign bodies, and other ear issues. If problems are detected, swabs may be taken for further testing, and imaging (X-rays/CT scans) might be recommended for deeper examination.
Common Findings:
Inflammation
Ear mites
Foreign bodies
Polyps or tumours
Treatment may include ear cleaning, topical or oral medications, or surgical intervention if needed.
